Fantasy Football Week 11 Projections: Tight Ends

Tight ends have been so disappointing this season that it’s not even funny. Here are a couple of tight ends in fantasy football Week 11 that should come through

Vernon Davis, San Francisco 49ers at Green Bay Packers
Vernon Davis talked a big last week for someone who didn’t do much of anything. As a result, we haven’t heard a peep out of the Davis camp since last Thursday’s game against the Bears. Perhaps he’ll come to Green Bay more focused in Week 11, and his fantasy owners will be much happier if that’s the case. Because in the past, when Davis wasn’t yappin’ at the mouth, he was catching touchdown passes. That should continue against a Packers defense that is very good on the outsides, but doesn’t have the athleticism at the linebacker positions to put a hold on tight ends. So go ahead, forgive Davis for not backing up his talk last week and put him in your starting lineup for Week 11.

Dallas Clark, Indianapolis Colts at Baltimore Ravens
Clark has been an absolute beast this season. The man already has 64 receptions this season and is on pace to catch 114 balls. However, he is only on pace to catch 5 touchdown passes, but that number should go up as the Colts have a couple of laugher games on the schedule, including the Texans, Titans, Bills and I will go ahead and throw the Broncos in that mix as well. In Week 11, Clark’s chances of catching a touchdown may be unusually high against a Baltimore Ravens team that does not defend the tight end all that well. The Ravens obviously love to blitz, which leaves the middle of the field wide open and will often put Clark up against smaller safeties that he can box out. And if the Ravens don’t blitz, they’ll usually drop back in a zone, leaving Clark the freedom to maneuver around slower linebackers. No matter how the Ravens draw it up, Manning should have no problem finding Clark; let’s just hope that means Clark will have no problem finding the end zone.
