Fantasy Football Week 10 Sleeper Picks: Defenses

Well, it’s that time of year. You have to make that push for your fantasy football playoffs; if they haven’t started already (you know who I’m talking to “double-week” fantasy leagues!).

Either way, you can always use that surprise performance from a player to help boost your fantasy football point ceiling.

Here are a couple of Week 10 fantasy football sleeper picks at the defensive position:

Tennessee Titans Defense vs. Buffalo Bills
As bad as the Titans have been this season, I still have faith that the Titans will step it up and not play down to the hapless Bills offense. The Bills haven’t done anything on offense this season, and even their best success came with their backup quarterback, who is unlikely to play in Week 10. Besides, I have a good feeling that the Titans offense is going to dominate the clock, because the Bills defense is so bad at stopping the run. That’s going to keep the Titans fresh and therefore in a position to dominate the Bills offense all day long this Sunday.

Kansas City Chiefs Defense at Oakland Raiders
I know the Chiefs have one of the worst defenses in the league, but quite frankly, the Raider have one of the worst offenses in the league. Should make for a great game, huh? Football aside, I don’t really see the Raiders putting up a whole lot of points. In the game between these two teams earlier this season, the score was low and the yards came at a premium. Neither team has shown much improvement, so I don’t expect things to change. However, Oakland’s JaMarcus Russell is so bad, that you never know what he’s capable of in terms of reaching new lows. Who knows, the Chiefs could come up with 3 interceptions or hold the Raiders to just 3 completed passes. So if you don’t mind betting against Russell, then this is a good sleeper pick for you to try out in Week 10 of fantasy football.
